Coating machine working principle:

The coating cylinder rotates while driving the core to make continuous movement, and the coating material is coated on the surface of the core by peristaltic pump and high performance spray gun. Through the air inlet air processing unit to provide clean hot air to the coating machine, the coating of drugs for drying, the rest of the hot air through the exhaust air processing unit discharged through the precise control of the entire coating process, so that the surface of the core of the drug to form a layer of dense, smooth, uniform coating film.

Process and purpose of film coating:

Film coating process is a new type of process, which first arose in the pharmaceutical industry for the protection of tablets. Domestic oral new crown drug latest information: 

The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase III clinical study of RAY1216 tablets, a domestic new crown potent drug under development for the treatment of patients with mild and common new crown infections, has completed the enrollment of the first subject, marking the full-scale launch of the Phase III clinical. 

It is worth mentioning that RAY1216 tablets are intended to be used for the treatment of patients with neocoronavirus infection, which is the same 3CL protease inhibitor technology route as Paxlovid, the marketed neocoronavirus oral drug of Pfizer, which is also expected to be the first domestic neocoronavirus potent drug targeting 3CL protease.
