TEWS Moisture Measuring Instrument

The method uses the dipole properties of the water molecule. A harmonic electromagnetic resonance field is generated in a cylindrical sensor or at the surface of a planar sensor. The water bonded in the product now starts to interact with this field. The changes of the field are registered by a detector, with a control instrument for analysis and output. The resonance curve of the microwave field is shifted and attenuated, depending on the water content of the product (increase in the resonance curve width). These two parameters are measured and evaluated in accordance to a patented procedure for separate determination of moisture and density. High water selectivity is possible because larger molecule groups or ions cannot follow the field changes, and thus, do not interfere with the measurement. The low microwave output does not cause any chemical changes in the product.

Measurement directly in the granules

High accuracy, irrespective of varying particle size, density or color

Saving time and money due to lack of manual sampling and no interruption of process

Reliable and fast readings in milliseconds
